I have 3 female and 2 male squirrels at my balcony at the moment.
They are:
Summer The Squirrel
Sally The Squirrel
Marina The Mama Squirrel
Simon The Squirrel
Sam The Squirrel
Simon the squirrel
I’ve had about the same percentages of male and female squirrels in the past too. And I just realized that female squirrels tend to visit me every day whereas males don’t. Male squirrels visit me frequently but randomly like they visit me every day for a week then disappear for 3 days and come back or something.
Female squirrels sometimes don’t visit for a day but no more than that. Summer The Squirrel has been visiting me almost for 3 years every day. There was a time I didn’t see her for 3 days and it made me so worried but she came back and started visiting me every day again.

Summer, Sally, and Marina, those 3 girls visit me every day, Simon visits randomly but frequently, and Sam visits randomly and infrequently. I sometimes see all those 5 and sometimes just those girls. I wonder if it’s a trait of gender or just a coincidence. I wonder if humans are the same. I always compare squirrels’ behaviors with humans because they are often similar in my opinion. How are your squirrels?
